Sandwich - Sonsbeck Twinning Association

We formed just over 20 years ago, twinning Sandwich with Sonsbeck in Germany. 

We meet up with our friends annually; taking turns to visit the others town.  This year we will play host to our Sonsbeck visitors.  We have an annual Bat and Trap match (Sonsbeck currently hold the trophy) and enjoy each other’s company with an evening meal and entertainment during the visit.  We might only be together for a weekend but we fit a lot in and enjoy it all.

We currently have 32 members, and we meet throughout the year for social events such as quizzes, bat and trap practices, day trips, summer barbeque and our annual dinner.

Past Event - The Notices

Visit Sonsbeck From Thursday 31st May to Sunday 3rd June 2007

We have booked a 32-seater executive coach from Carol Peters, which will depart on Thursday from the Quay in Sandwich at 7.30am so that we are in time for the 9.25am sailing from Dover.
The return on Sunday, we will leave Sonsbeck at a time suitable to our driver to enable us to catch the 5.35pm sailing from Calais.
