Sandwich People & History: A Royal Visit - 20th May 1932

20th May 1932 - Edward, Prince of Wales (later became the Duke of Windsor) landed at Sandwich Bay in a Gipsy Moth, to meet Lord and Lady Metcalf.

The photographs of Edward, the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII then the Duke of Windsor) were kindly provided by Jack Stables, a local resident.
